Friendship Circle of San Diego enriches the lives of children, teens and adults with special needs through social and recreational experiences while inspiring volunteers to participate in building a stronger and more inclusive community.
Friendship Circle provides your family with a supportive community that gives you the opportunity to form real friendships within a non-judgmental environment. While children with special needs experience the joy of friendship, their parents and siblings get a respite-assured by the knowledge that their family member with special needs is enjoying fun, meaningful activities in a safe and supportive environment.
Nothing makes children feel better about themselves than spending time with friends that truly care about them. Our teen and adult volunteer program is one of the most comprehensive in San Diego. Friendship Circle currently has over 150 teen and adult volunteers. Teens dedicate their time and friendship to individuals with special needs and discover the value, power and impact of giving and community service.
Over the past nine years, Friendship Circle has built a wide range of social and recreational programs for the special needs community. Each month Friendship Circle hosts various activities throughout San Diego for all age groups. From preschool age children to adults, our programs are created to engage the participants in a safe and supportive environment. Friendship Circle hosts the following regular programs:
- Friends At Home
- Holiday Programs
- Special Outings
- Woman's Circle
- Men's Club
- Summer Camp
